Freshly Made Sketches

Image
It's a lovely spring day here in Bridgnorth and what makes it even better is that I have been crafting! It seems the new meds are taking effect and I'm starting to feel human again! The card I have for you today is for the challenge over on  Freshly Made Sketches Here is the sketch And here is my card I've used a scrap of Raspberry Ripple DSP to create my border on a background stamped with Pleasant Poppies. My squares have small glittery butterflies on them. Hope you are all having a great Bank Holiday Monday (if you are in the UK) See you soon xx

Paper Pieced Rudolf

Image
I am sooooo late with this post - it's been a busy week, I've had blood tests and examinations and I'm taking some new medication. Hopefully I'm on the mend now. Still feeling a bit poorly but managed to get down in to my craft room this morning to make my DT card for  52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown This week we want to see some Here is my card Rudolf has been paper pieced on to some DSP and heat embossed with black embossing powder. He was then cut out and attached to the card base. I then added a red pearl for his shiny red nose. Hope you like it - see you soon xx

Sassy Sketcharinos Sketch Challenge #003

Image
I do love a good sketch challenge and that's why I created Sassy Sketcharinos Take a look at this week's sketch And here is my card This image I think comes from an old Stampin' Up hostess set - Bloom with Hope. I stamped the image on to Old Olive card stock in Always Artichoke ink and used some markers to colour it in. I then used a white gel pen to add some high lights. It was layered on to Always Artichoke card stock and some sparkly gems were added as a finishing touch. Hope you like it and I hope you can join in the challenge this week. Bye for now xx

Sassy Sketcharinos Challenge #002

Image
It's time for a new sketch over on Sassy Sketcharinos and look what we have for you this week And here is my card I have quite a bit of unused retired Stampin' Up stuff in my stash so I decided to use some for this card. The background paper has a very nautical look to it and it teams up nicely with this cute whale die. He has a little googly eye and some hand drawn water spouting from his blow hole. (there were tiny die cut droplets on the the same die as the whale but they were just too small to add!) Please do try and join us this week for our challenge - it would be lovely to see you over there. Bye for now xx

Freshly Made for Mother's Day

Image
So yesterday in the UK it was Mother's Day and being a card maker I made my mum a card. I followed the sketch over on  Freshly Made Sketches I love that there is a butterfly shape on the sketch and it inspired me to make this card I used the enormous Swallowtail stamp along with some Papillon Potpourri and if I remember rightly my sentiment is from Delightful Dozen. My colours are Crushed Curry and Lost Lagoon. Thanks for looking - see you soon x
