Mmmmmmmmm Coffee!

Image
I have finally found some time to craft! Although it didn't go exactly as planned I have made a card. I found it quite difficult to get the ideas flowing - I think I have been out of practise too long! I decided to used a new stamp set - never before inked -- Perfect Blend, plus I used the colours from last week's challenge over on  Stampin' Royalty  - but didn't get around to posting it in time - where does all the time go I wonder? Anyway - Perfect Blend. Don't you just love those takeaway coffee cups? I know I do - I even have some ceramic ones that I use in my craft room - they keep my coffee lovely and warm and I don't keep dropping things in there by mistake! Here is my card Now I know I told you that I had been unpacking all my crafting stash, well to my horror I have realised that my digital camera is nowhere to be found! The photo above was taken with my iPad and to me doesn't look all that good - hope my camera turns up soon -

Building a new craft space.

So, after the arrival of the craft stash the next thing to do was unpack it all. I have given a corner of the garage down at the bottom of the garden. It's not too dark but it's dusty and surrounded by shelfuls of dad's "man stuff"! Take a look Of course there is also the threat of massive spiders but I was strong and brave ( armed with a pot and piece of cardboard) and in no time at all it was looking like I could be crafting again very soon There is still a lot more stuff to come and where I shall put it all - I don't know yet! But there is also a lot of rubbish to get rid of so I may be able to expand later on. Now all I need to do s find some time to craft! Bye for now xx

Painted Blooms in Pink

Image
I have another unblogged card for you again today this time using Painted Blooms - take a look This started out as just the simple single branch stamp and pink flowers - it's a two step stamping set so I went on adding a bit here and a bit there to fill up the space inside the frame.  I got out my trusty markers again to colour my sentiment and I added a few stamped hearts around the sentiment making it perfect for giving to a special someone. My colours are Old Olive, Strawberry Slush and Blushing Bride - just a few of my favourites. Good news - I have my crafting stash. I may not have the space to use it yet but it's here! Maybe I'll find some time over the weekend to clear a small crafty space - just enough to do a bit of stamping!! Thanks for stopping by and for leaving your nice comments - it's nice to know I have such lovely blogging friends xx

Showing off some late cards!

Image
I've been at mum and dad's two weeks now and unfortunately still no crafting. Good news though - daughter is visiting tomorrow hopefully bearing boxes full of craft stash! Meanwhile I've been getting used to my new surroundings and finding places to stash the stuff that I did bring. I have the little room I'm sleeping in (and sharing with the cat) and a corner in the garage. So while I haven't been crafting I do have some pics of cards on my pc that I haven't blogged and these are a couple of Valentine cards - they can very easily be converted to everyday greetings cards as I've used stamps not specific to Valentine's day. This one uses the very versatile Lotus Blossom (Sale-a-bration) and a variety of pink markers ranging from very light to very dark. A silver ribbon bow completes the ensemble. This one uses Pleasant Poppies again coloured with markers. This is another design that could be changed - just use a Happy Birthday sentiment o

It's Been a While.

So - a few things have been happening lately, dad I'm happy to report is doing OK. I on the other hand am not. Unfortunately me and my husband are separating. It's come as a huge shock and to be perfectly honest with everything else that's going on - I'm not doing so great. On top of that - I have to move out. The house belongs to him and he runs his business from there too. I'm moving in with my mum and dad which is good for them as I will be able to help out more but not so good for me as space will be an issue - especially for crafting. I won't be doing any of my challenge blogs - I'm starting to pack my things up together tomorrow and goodness knows when I shall be able to unpack them. I have however got a few cards photographed so I think I shall be able to carry on blogging - it just may not be very regularly. Today I have a Double Dutch Fold card to show you. It uses the very gorgeous World of Dreams teamed up with some Gorgeous Grunge too - take
