A Handmade Embellishment

Image
Happy Bank Holiday Monday everyone - hope you enjoy the extra day. Today's challenge at  Make My Monday  is to make a handmade embellishment for your card  - I had great fun with this and ended up making loads! I made this card for a lovely customer of mine who has recently celebrated a birthday and it's actually a butterfly brooch that's been attached to the card - you can see that in the second photo. I got the idea from my upline Vicky and another fellow demonstrator Helen who had made theirs using the bird punch. I punched about 5 black, card stock butterflies and glued then one on top of another with Tombow glue. I then punched the butterfly from silver Glimmer paper and also glued that with Tombow. The pin was attached to the back with Crystal Effects. To attach it to the card I punched two small holes and joined then with a cut with a craft knife - the pin then slotted through very easily. Materials - Stampin' Up Stamps: Fabulous Florets Ink: Certain

A Quick Challenge Card

Image
I've made a very quick little thank you note card and I've managed to make it fit two challenges. The first is  Less is More  where the theme is HUMOUR and the second is  Dynamic Duos  and they want to see cards made with these colours I thought my Whale stamp with the sentiment 'Thanks a Ton' was quite humourous - what do you think? I stamped my waves first then cut a post-it-note mask to match. The whale was stamped over the mask so it looks like he is in the sea. Materials - Stampin' Up Stamps: Oh Whale Ink: Bashful Blue, Midnight Muse Card Stock: Whisper White Accessories: Basic Rhinestones Other: Post-it-notes (Please do drop me an e-mail if you would like to order any of the above items or indeed any Stampin' Up product from the two current catalogues found in my side bar - all my details are above in the top tabs - thanks) . Thanks for looking - see you soon - Jacqueline xx

She always brings chaos and drama in her wake along with loads of washing and ironing! Hello too to my new followers - thanks for finding me and I do hope you will continue to visit and like what I do. OK - onwards, I promised you some pics of things I had made recently at one of the workshops I regularly attend. They are run by a fellow demonstrator and you can find Jane's lovely blog -  HERE . So last week I made this beautiful mirror frame - well when I say I made it I mean I decorated it and made it pretty! - take a look Now I do apologise for the poor quality of my photos - I am in the process of clearing a better space for such purposes. Jane pre-painted the frame first for us then let us loose on her stamps and embossing powders - that's the Vanilla Flower Trim aro
