Birthdays and Bunting.

I think I am just in time with this - it's the Blue Jelly scrapbook challenge and the theme this month is 'Birthdays and Bunting'
I had a good rifle through all my boxes of photographs and managed to find some taken at my Daughter's 6th birthday party
I used Brocade Blue (retired) for the background and stamped around the edges with two star stamps from Wondrous Gift and Hung Up on the Holidays. The photos have Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose mats (I was trying to use up some scraps) and the bunting is Regal Rose. I used Brocade Blue and Night of Navy ink. I also used a white gel pen to high light some of the journaling.

    I love the way you make 'frames' with small stamps around the outside of cards and now here on these pages. It is a technique I'll be borrowing - will credit you of course! These are brilliant pages and the white (well, blue in this case!) space really draws attention to the photos.

I do love my nature stamps and I also love stamps of the sea whether it be above or below the waves. I have taken possession of a new set from the catalogue called Beauty of the Deep. I have made a card with this set as it lends it's self perfectly to the the new Boho Blue In Colour. Starting the Year with a Christmas Card

 I have decided to try and get on top of my Christmas cards early this year and so far it’s going well!!! Here is a card that has been made using the Sweet Gingerbread set - I love gingerbread houses and the stamps and matching dies are really cute. I used the sketch from  52 Christmas Card Throwdown  - this is a brilliant Christmas challenge blog (I started it many years ago with Mynn Kitchen) and it’s a perfect way to get organised with Christmas crafting. In The Frame.

Yesterday was birthday and my lovely husband bought me some crafting stash. Unfortunately he duplicated an ink pad (Distress Ink - Tea Dye) but the craft shop where he bought it were very kind and let me exchange it for something else. That something was a fab little Crafty Individuals stamp. So I raced home, turned my craft room upside down looking for my EZ Mount, and made this card for this week's Less is More  challenge. This week the girls wanted a one layer card with the theme 'In the Frame' Here is my card I made this by first masking off an area in the center of the card - directly on to a 5" x 5" white card blank. Then using my brayer I added some yellow, blue and green ink to the card. The masks were removed and the image was stamped over the brayered square.
